Wen Xie, professor of pharmaceutical sciences, was recently invited to attend the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology’s (FASEB) translational research symposium, “Engaging Basic Scientists in Translational Research: Identifying Opportunities, Overcoming Obstacles” on behalf of the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET). The meeting, which was by invitation only and sponsored by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), took place March 24-25, 2011, at the HHMI Headquarters in Chevy Chase, Md.
