Susan M. Meyer, PhD, served as the US Conference Co-Chair for Collaborating Across Borders IV and co-chaired the Executive Committee and the Program Planning Committee. Convened by the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) and the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative (CIHC), Collaborating Across Borders is the premier North American conference focused on interprofessional education and collaborative practice in health care. The largest meeting of its kind ever, the meeting was attended by over 800 health professions students, practitioners, educators, patients and patient advocates, and leaders from 14 countries.

Susan M. Meyer, PhD, has also been selected as chair of the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) for 2013-2014. The American Interprofessional Health Collaborative transcends boundaries to transform learning, policies, practices, and scholarship toward an improved system of health and wellness for individual patients, communities, and populations.
