Susan M. Meyer, PhD and colleagues, Hollis D. Day, Valerie L. Fulmer (School of Medicine) and Helen K. Burns (Excela Health), received the second place award in the research category for their poster, Interprofessional Communication: A Comparative Teaching Strategy for Pharmacy Students. The award was given at the annual conference of the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) in July 2013.

ASPE is the international organization of simulation educators dedicated to promoting best practices in the application of standardized patient methods for education, assessment, and research, and fostering the dissemination of research and scholarship in the field of standardized patient methods.

Susan M. Meyer is professor and associate dean for education at the School of Pharmacy pharmacy and therapeutics.
