PittPharmacy_SvetlanaAvshalumov_KelseyMoss0028Svetlana Avshalumov and Kelsey Moss (class of 2016) were recently accepted to complete the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Rotation in Association Management in Arlington, Virginia as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE).

NACDS offers this opportunity to pharmacy students to enhance their understanding of community pharmacy practice and the issues impacting the chain drug industry. Avshalumov and Moss will receive experience in pharmacy care, government affairs & public policy, and patient-focused research through the association’s charitable foundation. Avshalumov and Moss have been working closely with faculty mentors as part of the Community Leadership Innovations and Practice (CLIP) ARCO to prepare for their final year rotations. They will both be completing their experience during the spring 2016 term.

Melissa A. Somma McGivney, PharmD, FCCP, FAPhA is the assistant dean for community partnerships and faculty mentor for CLIP programs.
