Potoski, PharmD, BCPS  was appointed to serve as the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) representative on the creation of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) Clinical Practice Guidelines for Complicated Intra-abdominal Infections in Adults and Children. The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) represents physicians, scientists and other health care professionals who specialize in infectious diseases. IDSA’s purpose is to improve the health of individuals, communities, and society by promoting excellence in patient care, education, research, public health, and prevention relating to infectious diseases.

Potoski was also an invited guest speaker at the 2015 Update in Internal Medicine, hosted by UPMC and the Department of Medicine on October 29-30, 2015. Potoski’s presentation was titled “Antibiotic Use: Resistance and Stewardship”.

Potoski is an associate professor in the pharmacy and therapeutics department at PittPharmacy.
