Associate Professor Michael Shullo PharmD will serve as a Symposium Chair for a session at the ISHLT 36th Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions to be held April 27-30, 2016 entitled: “Anticoagulation and MCS: Can We Do Better?” Shullo will also give an invited presentation titled “Immunosuppression – A Tricky Balance?” within the “Lifecycle Journey of Hepatitis C Heart Failure Patient in 2016”. PittPharmacy resident Anh Vu will also present her research entitled “The Timeline of DSA after Cardiac Transplantation” at the ISHLT’s 36th Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions in Washington, DC.
Cody Moore, PharmD, BCPS a PittPharmacy fellow, solid organ transplantation, and PittPharmacy faculty member Christopher Ensor PharmD, BCPS will present their abstracts for platform presentations at the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) 36th Annual Meeting and Scientific Session. The conference will take place April 27-30, 2016. in Washington, DC.
Moore’s research in lung transplant recipients is titled the “Effect of Aerosolized Antimicrobials on Pseudomonas Recurrence and Bronchiolitis Obliterans Syndrome after Lung Transplantation.
Ensor’s research is titled “Carfilzomib-based Therapy Produces Favorable Outcomes for Antibody Mediated Rejection of the Lung Allograft”. Ensor is also the author of five total research abstracts to be presented at the meeting.
Ensor is a PittPharmacy assistant professor in the pharmacy and therapeutics department.
Moore is a post-doctoral fellow solid organ transplantation, in the pharmacy and therapeutics department.
