Pitt Pharmacy faculty member and alumna Pamela L. Smithburger, PharmD ’07, MS, BCPS, BCCP has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Pharmacy by the ACCP Board of Regents. Fellowship in the College recognizes and rewards the highest levels of excellence in practice and science of clinical pharmacy, and is the highest honor the College can bestow on its members. As part of the nomination process, the ACCP reviews a candidate’s accomplishments, research, and contributions to the organization. She will be officially inducted at a special ceremony at the 2017 ACCP Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.

Earlier this month, Smithburger was awarded the ACCP’s 2017 Critical Care PRN Research Award in recognition of outstanding and sustained contributions in critical care pharmacotherapy.

Smithburger is an associate professor in the pharmacy and therapeutics department at the School of Pharmacy.
