Professor Susan J. Skledar, RPH, MPH, FASHP, Director of Experiential Learning and Continuing Professional Development, has been elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) as Director-at-Large for the Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners (SICP) for 2018-2020. The SICP has the focus of improving patient care by supporting the professional development and interests of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to integrate clinical, distributive, and operational services to help achieve health outcomes.

In this role, faculty member Skledar will be working with ASHP leadership to recommend issues for the SICP agenda and participate in discussions of advancing pharmacy practice and education for the profession. She has worked with the ASHP SICP Educational Steering Committee, American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, and ASHP Advantage Program, and has been recognized by ASHP with the Distinguished Service Award in 2013, and national Best Practice Award in Health-System Pharmacy in 2000 and 2011.
