Recent PharmD graduate and new alumna Heather Johnson ’18 was selected for the Walmart Scholars Program. Associate Professor Karen Pater, PharmD, BCPS, CDE, and Johnson were one of 85 faculty-mentor pairs selected for the program. Johnson will receive a scholarship that will allow her to attend the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) conference in Boston, July 21-25, 2018. It will also enable her to attend presentations and teaching seminars. The Walmart Scholars Program is designed to help students interested in academia learn more about the field and meet other like-minded students and residents.
