Professor Sue Skledar, RPh, MPH, FASHP, Director of Experiential Learning and Continuing Professional Development, has been appointed to serve as co-chair for the national Pharmacy Quality Alliance Academic Affairs Committee (PQA AAC), for a two-year term spanning 2019-21.

In this role, Skledar will be working with faculty from across the United States to create and share content related to improvement of health care quality and ensuring safe use of medications in school of pharmacy education. She has worked with PQA as Co-Chair of the national 2017 Measure Update Panel, and Measure Development and Validity Teams. Skledar also serves as a reviewer for posters and platform presentations for the annual national PQA meetings.

The PQA mission is to optimize health by advancing the quality of medication use, including creation of measures for medication safety, adherence and appropriate use. The AAC represents 50 schools and colleges of pharmacy, and is a forum for members to share best practices for educating the next generation of pharmacists on health care quality and value-driven health care.
