Admissions Calendar for Fall 2019

May – September
Register for the PCAT exam and have scores sent to PharmCAS code 104. Recommended July and/or September (if available, October and November test dates are acceptable). Applications are not complete until PCAT scores are received. Only completed applications are eligible for review and an interview. (NOTE: Scores from the January 2019 PCAT exam will not be received until after the interviews.)
September 4, 2018 – Early Decision Deadline
(To be eligible to apply for Early Decision, all of the preprofessional required course work must be completed and letter grades recorded on official transcripts submitted to PharmCAS by the September 4, 2018 deadline.)
The Early Decision program is a binding option for applicants who have decided that a particular pharmacy degree program is their first choice and that they will enroll if accepted. As an Early Decision applicant, you can apply to only one pharmacy degree program. To be eligible, all of the prerequisite courses must be completed.
The Early Decision application deadline is September 4, 2018. In addition to completing the PharmCAS application, you must arrange for PharmCAS to receive all of your official transcripts and fee by September 4th. If your application, transcripts, or fee arrive after the deadline, PharmCAS will automatically change your file from early decision status to regular status.
You may be offered early admission, denied admission, or deferred to regular applicant status. If you are offered admission as an Early Decision applicant, you are obligated to accept the offer and you will not be permitted to apply to other PharmCAS institutions. If, however, you are denied admission as an Early Decision applicant, you may apply to other PharmCAS institutions for an additional fee. Refer to the PharmCAS application fee schedule to determine the cost to apply to each additional program. PharmCAS programs will make admission decisions on early decision applicants by October 19, 2018.
July – November
Begin PharmCAS application and submit by midnight Eastern Standard Time on December 1. However, It is highly recommended to submit the PharmCAS application by November 1. It takes approximately four (4) weeks for PharmCAS to verify applications once e-submitted and transcripts are received.
September – October
Download Transcript Request Form from PharmCAS and submit a transcript request to ALL institutions attended. It is recommended to request that transcripts be submitted to PharmCAS in September. All transcripts must be received by the December 1 deadline.
Last PCAT exam that qualifies eligibility for a complete application by the application deadlines. (PCAT scores are to be sent to PharmCAS, code 104.)
November 1 – December 1
RECOMMENDED to e-submit PharmCAS application and official transcripts, application fee, and three (3) required recommendations are received by PharmCAS.
To eliminate any unforeseen problems, it is recommended that you submit your application early; between November 1 and December 1. This will ensure eligibility to update fall grades and if any issues arise, they can be investigated and resolved before the January 7 deadline.
December 15 – January 31
PharmCAS updates available. Once PharmCAS has verified your application and released the information to us, you will be notified by PharmCAS of your eligibility and instructions to update fall grades. Download a Transcript Request Form from PharmCAS and submit to the institution where fall grades were obtained. Note: Fall grades cannot be updated until PharmCAS verifies and releases your application to us. If you waited until December 1 to e-submit, you will not be eligible to update fall grades until mid-January. When an application is complete with fall grades or 48+ required credits, it will be reviewed by the committee for consideration for an interview.
October – February
Interviews scheduled by invitation only. (Dates TBA)
