The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy was awarded the $30,000 Lilly USA, LLC Scholarship by the National Association of Chain Drug Store (NACDS) Foundation. Pitt received the second highest award among the 12 accredited pharmacy schools that received awards. Pitt was recognized for its leadership in developing new and innovative community–based programs, community-based research initiatives, patient-centered learning experiences for students, and improving care of patients in the community.

The NACDS Foundation Pharmacy Partners Scholarship Program provides awards ranging from $10,000 to $40,000 to a pharmacy school’s scholarship fund to assist high-caliber pharmacy students working to achieve their professional Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Schools must apply for the awards and are selected based on their contribution to the advancement of community pharmacy practice.
