Joshua Thorpe, PhD, MPH, associate professor in Pharmacy & Therapeutics, was awarded a pilot grant from the VA Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion. The project, Developing a Typology of Veterans’ Healthcare Experiences, will apply machine-learning methods to National VA survey data in order to develop and validate a risk prediction model of Veteran satisfaction with VA outpatient care and pharmacy services. Co-investigators on the project  include Carolyn Thorpe, assistant professor in Pharmacy & Therapeutics, and Dr. Galen Switzer, professor of Medicine and Psychiatry.

The Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion is a VA Health Services Research & Development Center of Excellence whose mission is to promote equity and quality in health and health care among veterans and other populations.
