PittPharmacy’s AAPS Student Chapter will host guest speaker Mehul U. Mehta PhD ’86, Director of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology with the Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Mehta received his PhD in Pharmacokinetics from University of Pittsburgh in 1986. Current PittPharmacy Professor Raman Venkataramanan, PhD was his advisor.
Mehul is the diretor of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology I (DCP I), Office of Clinical Pharmacology (OCP), Office of Translational Sciences (OTS), Center for Drug Evaluation & Research (CDER), FDA, in Rockville, Maryland.
Mehta will share his knowledge and experience with the involvement of the FDA in the drug development process.
His presentation will be held in 456 Salk Hall from Noon to 1:00 p.m.
