Pitt Pharmacy faculty member and alumnus James C. (Jim) Coons, PharmD ’00, BCPS-AQ Cardiology has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP) by the ACCP Board of Regents.  Fellowship in the College recognizes sustained excellence in the discipline of Clinical Pharmacy and is the highest honor the College can bestow on its members.  An induction ceremony was held at the 2017 ACCP Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.

At the Annual Meeting, Coons was also elected to serve as the incoming Secretary/Treasurer of the Cardiology Practice and Research Network of ACCP.

Coons is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics.
