The University of Pittsburgh Chapter of SPPA was awarded the Government Relations and Advocacy Award at the 2018 Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association’s Annual Meeting in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This award is presented annually to a School of Pharmacy in Pennsylvania that has made outstanding efforts in support of legislative and advocacy initiatives that promote the pharmacy profession and further the government relations priorities of PPA. The purpose of this award is to encourage schools to become involved in their state professional organization while becoming more aware of its related advocacy efforts and the potential impact on their careers and future.
