PittPharmacy faculty member Jim Coons, PharmD, FCCP, BCCP was invited to present at the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) 2019 Annual Meeting, Pulmonary Practice and Research Network (PRN) Focus Session. Coons’ presentation, entitled “Updates from the 6th World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension,” was part of the session “Updates in Pulmonary Hypertension Management Across the Continuum of Care.”

In 2019-2020, Coons will also serve as the Chair of the ACCP Cardiology PRN. The PRNs represent focused interest groups of ACCP members. They provide a means for clinical pharmacists with common practice and research interests to gather for professional interaction, networking, and continuing education. The Cardiology PRN consists of approximately 1200 members from around the world. It advances the pharmacotherapy of cardiovascular disorders through the promotion of excellence in education, research, and clinical practice by enhancing the knowledge, skills, and productivity of its members.
