Megan Langer (PHARM ’11) is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute (AHNCI) for the Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy Outpatient Clinic in Pittsburgh, PA. As a valued member of an interdisciplinary team of eight physicians practicing in malignant and benign hematology, Dr. Langer provides clinical support, manages anticancer therapy and provides comprehensive patient and nursing education.

Additionally, she is a key member of the AHN Hematology and Oncology Pharmacy and Therapeutics Subcommittee, an active contributor to policy development through AHN’s Anticancer Therapy Council and serves as the Ambulatory Malignant Hematology Clinical Rotation Primary Preceptor for the Allegheny General Hospital Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program, the Forbes and West Penn Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. Her research interests include multiple myeloma as well as anticancer therapy supportive care and hypersensitivity management. Dr. Langer has been with AHNCI for over four years and has previous experience as an oncology pharmacist for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Hillman Cancer in Pittsburgh, PA. She earned cum laude graduation honors for both her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Allegheny College and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh.
