Madeline Lipp, PharmD, received an American Association of Immunologists (AAI) Young Investigator Award for her work entitled, The effect of age and maternal antibodies on infant TRM response. This award recognizes Lipp’s achievement of having the best scientific abstract in her workshop: Immune Responses to Viruses. The award will be announced at the 2021 Autumn Immunology Conference in Chicago.
Lipp began her PhD studies in Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences at Pitt in 2019. Her research focuses on the infant immune response to RSV following maternal immunization, and how the mucosal immune system contributes to protection as well as disease pathology.
