PittPharmacy Associate Professor Pamela L. Smithburger, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCCCP, FCCP, FCCM, (PHARM ’07 and Residency Program Graduate ’08, ’09), was appointed to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/Society of Critical Care Medicine (CDC/SCCM) Wellness Task Force to serve as a member for the 2022-2023 calendar year.
The Task Force is charged with development and distribution of a well-being guide/toolkit targeted specifically to bedside ICU staff and their leaders. This work is largely needed due to the toll the pandemic has taken on healthcare providers, especially critical care clinicians.
