Keito Hoshitsuki

This summer, Pitt Pharmacy graduate student Keito Hoshitsuki, PharmD (’17), was elected to the position of Trainee Councilor on the board of the Pharmacogenomics Global Research Network (PGRN). The mission of PGRN, according to the organization’s website, is “…to catalyze and lead research in precision medicine for the discovery and translation of genomic variation influencing therapeutic and adverse drug effects.”

He is the first member to be elected to the newly created position. He will serve a 1 year term, which started as of July 2022. His election to the position was announced at the PGRN-CPIC conference in Denver, CO.

Hoshitsuki is currently a PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the laboratory of Christian Fernandez, PhD.
