Pitt Pharmacy students Kenneth Richardson (PHARM ’23) and Rena Reid (PHARM ’24), were both selected as recipients of the 2022 Walmart Health Equity Scholarship for Pharmacy Students!
The new program, offered in partnership between AACP and Walmart, aims to recognize a diverse population of student pharmacists who will advance health equity. Richardson and Reid were two of just ten students selected nationwide, from a pool of nearly 700 applicants. They were chosen for their leadership, academic success, and commitment to serving rural or medically underserved patient populations upon graduation.
