Sharon Connor, PharmD, recently graduated as a University of Pittsburgh, Health Sciences Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Social Justice Fellow (HSSJ). Connor is the first person from the School of Pharmacy to become a HSSJ Fellow, as part of the inaugural class.

Connor has had growing leadership roles in her clinical pharmacy practice focused on medication outcomes of underserved and global populations as well as in leading our pharmacy residency program in ambulatory care and global health. She is the director of the Program for Pharmaceutical Care to the Underserved Population, titled the Grace Lamsam Pharmacy Program. Under Connor’s leadership, this program has become a national model for care to the homeless and underserved populations. It has also led to an extremely rich environment for training and research, which includes our community partner, the Birmingham Free Clinic. Her ability to partner with healthcare providers, community leaders, and fellow academicians has been a source of success for Connor throughout her career.

Connor is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics.
