PittPharmacy PharmD students have stepped forward and joined the Panthers Forward program unique to the University of Pittsburgh. Panthers Forward is an innovative program that leverages the power of our University community to ease the burden of student loan debt. Student loan debt is rising—and carries lifelong consequences. It’s a problem with no easy solution. That’s why we’re solving it on our own, and we’re doing it in classic Pitt Panther style: together.

The second Panthers Forward class will graduate from the Pittsburgh campus in 2020. To be eligible, students must be seniors on the Pittsburgh campus in good standing with the University and must have taken out federal loans to fund their senior year. Upon graduation, Panthers Forward participants will receive up to $5,000 in direct federal student loan relief. The only condition is a voluntary one: that they pay-it-forward. There is no fixed repayment plan or third-party broker. It’s just Pitt graduates helping Pitt students succeed.
