PittPharmacy’s ASCP chapter held the 4th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Health Fair at the Oakmont Retirement Community. Students worked in collaboration with PittPharmacy’s SNPhA organization to speak with many residents about various topics such as stroke prevention, cold and flu, chronic kidney disease, COPD, neuropathy, brain health, and drug safety. Students also took blood pressure readings for those interested and had various giveaways and raffle prizes. 22 PittPharmacy students and 11 undergraduate student volunteers attended the event on January 20, 2020 using their day off from class for community service.
