Katherine H. Cho, PharmD, a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Practice resident with the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy/Rite Aid and Katie Doong, PharmD, a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Practice resident with the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy/Giant Eagle Pharmacy received American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation 2018 Incentive Grants for their research.
Cho’s research is titled “Identifying Key Factors Associated with High-Achieving Chain Pharmacy Teams Delivering Quality Care for Patients in Medically Under-served Areas.” Cho’s research objective is to uncover common approaches to the provision of quality patient care by high-achieving pharmacy teams in federally designated medically under-served areas.
Doong’s research is titled “Evaluating the Early Implementation of Pharmacist-Provided Patient Care Services of a Statewide Pharmacy Network within a Regional Grocery Chain Pharmacy.” Doong’s research objective is to understand techniques pharmacists are utilizing to engage patients in comprehensive medication management services within a regional grocery chain pharmacy partnered with an innovative statewide community pharmacy network.
The Incentive Grants are awarded to help establish innovative patient care services and supports research aimed at improving health outcomes for patients.
