PittPharmacy student Karen Hoang (Class of 2016) was elected to the Province Executive Board as the first Parliamentarian at the Kappa Psi Mountain East Province Fall Assembly in Buffalo, New York, on October 19, 2013 .
Hoang’s one year term responsibilities are to ensure that all province meetings follow parliamentary procedure, aka Robert’s Rules. Hoang plans to attend the Province Legislative Committee meetings to familiarize herself with the ordinances of the chapters in the province. Hoang also plans to have a Robert’s Rules workshop at the next province meeting in February in order to educate brothers who may have had little experience with parliamentary procedure.
