PittPharmacy faculty member Sandra L. Kane-Gill, PharmD, MS, FCCM, FCCP was recently elected to the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) Council, the decision-making body regarding the governance of SCCM.  Kane-Gill will begin her 3-year term in January 2014. Few pharmacists have held this elected-position since the Society’s inception.

The SCCM Council is the highest governing body, accountable to the SCCM membership itself. Criteria for candidate for Council are visionary leadership, a track record of hard work and productivity in service to SCCM and to critical care, and specific expertise (e.g., in education or finance) germane to the business operations of the Society.

The School of Pharmacy is extremely proud and excited for Kane-Gill in this senior position in the Society.

Sandra L. Kane-Gill, is an associate professor at the School of Pharmacy in the pharmacy and therapeutics department.
