The University of Pittsburgh was proud to serve as the first-ever US host for the All Together Better Health VII, June 6 through 8, 2014. Co-host for the event was the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education. ATBH is the leading global conference that brings together providers, health system executives, educators, students, policymakers, and health care industry leaders to advance interprofessional practice and education locally, regionally, and worldwide.

School of Pharmacy Associate Dean for Education Susan Meyer, along with Everette James, associate vice chancellor for health policy and planning, and staff in the University of Pittsburgh’s Health Policy Institute, led the program planning efforts over the 20-month period since Pitt was selected as the host of the 2014 conference. The meeting featured over 520 presentations from individuals participating from 27 different countries. Keynote sessions, plenary panel discussions, oral papers, and poster presentations stimulated a lively and dynamic exchange of ideas around inter-professional team-based practices to improve patient care quality, contribute to healthier communities, and lower overall health care costs.
