Where Will The Site Visits Take Place?

The site visits for PIERPitt include UPMC Presbyterian Hospital In-Patient Pharmacy, Asti’s South Hills Pharmacy, and Research Labs in Salk Hall in Pittsburgh, PA. The site visits for PIERMiami include Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, CVS y Más, and Navarro Discount Pharmacy.

Is Transportation to The Site Visits Provided?

No transportation can be provided, but we try to choose sites visits that are close to your home!

How can I participate in PIER?

Both PIERPitt and PIERMiami accept students during the months prior to the program via applications that can be found under the Register tab above!

How much does it cost to participate?

This program is absolutely free of cost to students that participate!

what requirements are there for PIER programs?

For PIERPitt, you must be an undergraduate or high school student. You do not need to be a pre-pharmacy student to participate!
For PIERMiami, you must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in a high school or university institution.
All majors are welcome. Both programs will also ask for clearances that will be specified after acceptance.

Do i need any pharmacy experience to participate?

Nope! We would like for you to take advantage of the resources and opportunities that we provide you with to learn more about this field and determine your pharmacy passions.
